Mahindra XUV 3XO : Mahindra’s XUV 3XO has turned the compact SUV game on its head with aggressive pricing, powerful engines, segment-first features, and a 5-star safety rating.

Launched as the XUV300’s heavily reworked successor, it now ranges from around ₹7.28 lakh to ₹14.40 lakh (ex-showroom), undercutting many rivals while offering big-car tech like ADAS, panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera.​

Bold Design and Premium Cabin

The XUV 3XO gets a more muscular face with a new grille, sharper LED headlamps, C-shaped DRLs and a tougher bumper that visually widens the stance.

At the rear, connected LED tail-lamps, a reprofiled tailgate and new alloys give it a more modern, SUV-ish look than the XUV300.​

All three get a 6-speed manual; both petrols also offer a 6-speed torque-converter automatic, while the diesel can be had with a 6-speed AMT.​

Mahindra claims up to about 20.6 kmpl for select diesel variants and roughly 18–20 kmpl for the turbo-petrols, depending on configuration.

In the real world, the strong low- and mid-range torque makes city driving easy and highway overtakes confident, with the TGDi motor being one of the most powerful in the class.​

On top trims, Mahindra offers Level-2 ADAS with features like forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

Pricing, Variants and Market Position

Ex-showroom prices start near ₹7.28 lakh for the MX1 base petrol and go up to about ₹14.40 lakh for the AX7 L Turbo AT top model.

Popular mid trims like AX5 and AX7 sit in the ₹10–12.5 lakh band, balancing features and value; waiting periods of around two months are common on high-demand variants.​

With this structure, the XUV 3XO directly rivals the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet, often undercutting them while offering more power or more kit.

Mahindra is also readying a strong-hybrid version, expected by 2026, which will pair the existing 1.2 turbo-petrol with hybrid tech to further cut running costs.​
